01-New Member’s Class – Level I and II

Pastor Charles Whitaker & Elders  –  Saturday  |  One Day |  9am – 3:30pm

A primary course of study for all NEW MEMBERS, designed to familiarize newcomers with what our church believes to be fundamental for your walk with Christ, and your relationship with River of Life church. The materials covered in these lessons are considered to be a short and precise overview of our basic doctrinal beliefs. We consider it important that you the Prospective Member complete these sessions prior to receiving the Confirmation of Membership and participation in certain ministries at ROLC.

Class will be held IN PERSON – books are provided to each student.

02- Spiritual Authority

Instructors: Elder Wanda Little and Elder Wendy Browne  –  Thursday  |  7:00pm – 8:00pm

Everyone is to be subject to authority.  God is authority.  With great discernment and clarity, this class will help the student to understand what spiritual authority is, the relationship between authority and obedience, and the important distinction between obedience and submission.  A very important principle the student will learn is how to respond to and understand the role of delegated authority from God.    (Rom. 13:1-7).

Book for this class is Spiritual Authority by Watchman Nee, it can be purchased in the bookstore or on Amazon.com.

03- Forgiveness Part III—4U and 4 Me

Instructors: Bro Wayne Johnson and Sis. Tonya Johnson  –  Saturday  |  9:00am -11:00am

We all have somebody in our lives we need to forgive. This seminar will provoke great conversations and encourage reflection.  Unconditional forgiveness is a powerful move that will heal emotional wounds and strengthen you to live your best life.  Once you forgive it frees you to love unconditionally and to help you find your way to forgiveness and the ability to love without fear.  Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Everyone needs to know how to have a “journey into debt-free living”.  Six biblical lessons that will pull you out of debt and get you growing.  This 6-lesson study on personal finance is filled with scriptures that teach about the dangers of debt and ways to successfully manage our money. Lesson titles include: Symptoms of Financial Bondage, Getting the Best Deal on an Automobile, What You Must Teach Your Kids About Money, Ten Commandments for Getting Out of Debt, and Is It Best To Buy or Rent a Home?   Book is Journey into Debt Free Living by Tommy Higle.
